Job Opportunity: Employment Case Manager
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY (Temporary position with potential extension until June 30th)
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $20 - $28

Employment Case Manager Requirements:

Employment Case Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervisory Oversight: Provide comprehensive supervision to Workforce Connections (WFC) Case Managers, ensuring alignment with job responsibilities and program objectives.
- Operational Support: Collaborate closely with the Workforce Program Manager to oversee daily operations of the WFC program, including managing program personnel and facilitating communication with specialists and supervisors.
- Reporting and Compliance: Assist the Workforce Program Manager in compiling and submitting all mandated monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports, ensuring adherence to program requirements.
- Customer Service Excellence: Foster a culture of quality, customer-driven service delivery to program participants, employers, mentees, and stakeholders from participating agencies and organizations.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain meticulous records of all paperwork mandated in the WFC contract, ensuring accuracy and completeness of report files.
- Program Promotion: Actively market the Mentoring Program to eligible individuals, community service organizations, and employment communities, highlighting the program's benefits and opportunities.
- Employer Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients' employers, addressing specific workplace issues, and soliciting feedback on clients' overall progress.
- Case Note Documentation: Maintain detailed case notes for each interaction, whether in-person or via phone, with both employers and clients, documenting progress and discussions.
- Progress Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of each client's progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Training Opportunities Identification: Identify relevant training opportunities for program participants to enhance their skill sets and employability.
- Employer Engagement: Schedule meetings or phone interviews with clients' job supervisors or designated employer representatives within five business days of employment start date or program enrollment, ensuring convenience for the employer.

We are seeking a high energy, motivated Night Warehouse Supervisor in our Coxsackie, NY Distribution Center.
The primary duties of the Night Shift Supervisor will strive to achieve the production and
distribution objectives of the company using supervisory methods and coaching techniques. Is
responsible for warehouse training, developing warehouse personnel to ensure accurate, on
time, and damage free movement of product shipped out of the warehouse. Will help build a
team environment of well-trained employees. Employ excellent communication skills to facilitate
completion of night shift job duties. Follow and promote the accepted safety practices to
maintain a safe working environment. Emphasis will be placed on proper truck loading and
breakage and damaged product control ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Position will also learn the processes and serve as a back up to the night managers in the areas
of shift production set up; understanding how to and executing on waving, label creation, job
assignment, invoicing, and other administrative tasks as needed to ensure successful night shift
work completion in the absence of the night shift Manager.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
• Must be able to multi-task and stay on top of highly complex processes with a large
amount of data.
• Must be able to maintain composure and stay focused in times of stress.
• Must be able to recognize problems at an early stage and be able to communicate and
trouble shoot to resolve the problems.
• Must possess good communication skills to keep night management fully apprised of
situations that arise. When necessary, will need to contact technical support to resolve
system and software problems.
• Supervises warehouse union employees. Working knowledge and a thorough
understanding of the Collective Bargaining Unit Contract is required.
• Expected to provide staff coaching for improvement as well as praise for a job well done.
• Works with all hourly employees to insure the accurate picking of orders and proper
loading of trucks.
• Must have knowledge of SAP, Lucas, and all warehouse management systems.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules,
and regulations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises members of the night warehouse team. Works closely with Management to direct the
workflow in an efficient and professional manner. Is responsible for providing effective
leadership while fostering a positive team environment and providing overall direction,
coordination, and evaluation of the department. Performs supervisory responsibilities in
accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are
not limited to training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; recognizing,
rewarding, and coaching; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certifications and/or licenses
EXPERIENCE:
-High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
-At least 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
-Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer systems.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
-Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals.
-Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal and written communication
skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.
-Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and

About the Position
Under the direction of the Senior Program Supervisor, regularly travels across the Hudson Valley region to facilitate psycho-educational testing and assessments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and writes comprehensive, individualized summaries of results. Scores assessments and interprets findings, making recommendations for appropriate accommodations and/or employment or educational goals and presents at case conferences. Ensures services are scheduled and provided in accordance with contract requirements, completing required documentation and reports on a timely basis. Performs job development and job coaching services, as needed.

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Under supervision, schedules and administers psycho-educational testing/assessments to assess cognitive and other abilities and achievement levels of individuals with disabilities referred for evaluation and services across the Rockland to mid-Hudson Valley region, including Orange and potentially Dutchess counties.
Scores tests following appropriate guidelines and compiles ratings for assessments administered to each person we support (PWS).
Writes comprehensive, individualized reports for each PWS (9 – 14 pages) summarizing test results.
Interprets results of assessments and makes appropriate recommendations for accommodations and employment/educational goals based on strengths, weaknesses, achievement level and personal goals of PWS.
Presents the findings of the report and recommendations for PWS at a case conference including the PWS, referring ACCES-VR counselor and other relevant individuals (e.g. parents, school staff, etc.)
Supports employment services program needs and additional services by performing job development and job coaching services, as needed including:
Post-Secondary and Job Exploration Counseling
Career Exploration Assessments
Community based workplace assessments
Instructing individuals in Self-Advocacy
Providing Work Readiness training to groups in-person and remotely.
Facilitating services in alignment with state authorizations and timelines and requesting extensions as needed.
Conducts all work in accordance with agency policies/procedures and ensures confidentiality of records.
Completes all mandatory OPWDD/ACCES-VR/YAI trainings.
Builds and maintains Positive Relationships and rapport with people supported and circle of support.
Ensures billing and case notes are completed accurately and timely.
Completes monthly progress reports.
Performs all related work, as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)
Master’s Degree in vocational rehab counseling or related area, approved by ACCES-VR; and
One year experience in vocational rehabilitation or other suitable fields (e.g. counseling, testing, working with the I/DD community, etc.); or
Satisfactory combination of education, experience and/or training approved by ACCES-VR; however, all candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree in an approved area.
Familiarity with standardized testing/assessments
Routinely travel within the Rockland to mid-Hudson Valley region, including Orange and potentially Dutchess counties.
